Re: Flat sided Sterlingworths

I have a 16 gauge #377058 SP franed gun with 28" barrels. The Callahan letter only stated that it was one of the last guns to leave the factory, never mentioned the type of frame. A really nice little gun.

kautzky single trigger

I just found a nice CE Grade 12gauge, dual ivory sights, straight grip stockwith pad, 30" barrels and single trigger. The gun dates to 1911. My question is this, how early was the single trigger offered? Owner stated the gun looked pretty original, some case colors remaining, stock looked refin...

Re: where to look for vintage doubles

I seem to find most of mine through contacts that I formed over the years. Most of the dealers on line (Guns America, Guns International, Gun Broker) want premium for their guns, some dealers will work with if you call them and make an offer, the 2 dealers that are great to work with are George Land...

Re: Value of an early A grade?

I offered a 1,000 for this one, it was a want and not a need, as I have a few Sterlingworths in the same configuration.

Re: Fox Gun Club, Philadelphia?

I have a J Grade SBT that according to my Callahan letter states that William Gough was the original consignee. The letter never mentioned the second barrel, I guess William just walked over and had one made for it. Letter states: This Fox trap gun was completed at the Philladelphia, PA factory of A...

I just purchased a 20 gauge Sterlingworth with a staight stock with a jotsam red pad, looks all original #262976, never seen one with straight stock. I also own a really nice sigle trap gun, with 2 barrels serial#400274. Any help with information on the 20 gauge is much appreciated. MSG Mosteller ge...

Fox A Grade 12 gauge SN#21073

I have the gun you have listed on your site under the The "A" GRADE Fox section, "The earliest Gough-style engraved 12 ga gun recorded is serial number 21073" But it never mentioned this in my Callahan letter. Can you give me any information on this gun?
