Re: Sterlingworth 30" 20 Ga Gunbroker
Wasn't that pleasant a conversation apparently. He threw some pretty serious shade your way in his relisiting. Although in doing that, he disclosed the concerns over the possibility of renumbered barrels. Interesting to see how that affects the bidding this go around....

Re: Rib work
Yeah that's what I was afraid of Brian. And with all the value in the originality, all that goes right out the window with a reblue. And now it becomes just a nice common 28" 12ga Philly Sterly, the most common of the most common. Oh well, such is life I suppose.

Rib work
Ok so my rage has finally let up enough that I can talk about this. Last summer I managed to pick up a 98% original 12ga Sterly for real good money, love the gun and I shot good with it. Unfortunately about 5 months ago I was shooting, and about 75 rounds into a 100 round course I noticed the top ri...

RST at The Vintage Cup
Just a quick note at the request of the Vintagers President. If you gents or ladies are looking to buy, it seems RST is asking for those orders to be placed beforehand and they will be brought to Hopkins. Not sure of the specifics behind the request, I was just asked to post a note. Any questions, I...

Re: L.C. Smith Grades
I have an Ideal Grade 16ga Smith and I am big fan of it. Someone polished the frame and reblued the tubes along with some kinda clear concrete for finish on the wood. Real heavy thick hard as a rock varnish got runs all over it, they redid the checkering on the butt but not the forend, and it's majo...

Re: Fore end iron question
Ok I'll buy that, numbers fit in that frame for sure. And I cleaned it up some, now I can see the engraving and a 7, so would that make this a grade 7 iron? http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g272/cableguyjjs97/Mobile%20Uploads/IMAG0787_zpswjh3gif9.jpg http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g272/cableguyj...

Fore end iron question
Ok so I know this isn't Fox, or like no Fox I've ever seen. And I found it in a box marked NID parts, and everything else in the box is NID, I don't think this is though. Anyone have any ideas what this might be off of? Never seen an iron like this before. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g272/cabl...

Re: AHFCA events at Hausmann's!!
if you're staying in Forksville - don't forget your fly rod Me with a regular fishing rod is not an impressive sight to say the least, I never even tried a fly rod. Watched a buddy of mine try it a few times and said, nope not for me. While I immensely enjoy the fishing, I am absolutely terrible at...

Re: AHFCA events at Hausmann's!!
To be honest Mike I'm not sure. I know my cousin used to live in Forksville, but he's moved from there somewhere else. I still have family in Forksville, but I'm not exactly sure where I'll be staying. I'll and ask and let you know though.

Re: AHFCA events at Hausmann's!!
I talked to my cousin, he lives in PA about an hour from the venue he says. So free place for me to stay, so I just need to sort out the drive and the time off from work. Thanks for the info guys I appreciate it. I'm going to make every attempt to get up to this event and do some shooting!!. Hope to...
