Yes. It is new. Clarification Needed!! This gun is not the "CSMC A H FOX" built from original specs and patents. It is a CSMC manufacture gun using FOX look alike built of the RBL design. They originally built what they called their A Grade. They then created some prototype guns for Savage...

Here is what I added while at the Southern.
It is a CSMC Savage Fox Grade CE 20 GA Prototype. It is created from the RBL Design.

What about the engraving? It looks a little "tighter" and denser to me than the tipical late C.

No responses yet? Many think it is taboo to use cold blue. I do not. I have an assortment of brands and the one that I like best is "Van's Instant Gun Blue". Some steel does not respond instantly to application so you have to keep working on the surface to be treated and assure it remains ...

It should be considered a DE SPECIAL. It is same pattern as the Catalog Gun on about page 11.

I believe CSMC Fox guns started with serial number 205550. This gun is 206058. Just over 500 guns made by CSMC so far.

They have been reblued and the gunsmith drilled a weep hole for each rib space and then filled.
