Bob, if you have a chance to buy one and it looks decent, jump on it!. First or second Gen matters little; they are so scarce. I bought a very early AE 16 at a 'firehouse' gun show years ago for $1100 and everyone who has looked at it since has tried to buy it right out of my hand. I 'counted coups" 3 years ago by purchasing a 2nd Gen BE 20 ga. in a deal where I had to buy 2 guns to get the one I really wanted (the BE 20). Pricey deal but nice; the 2nd gun was a 16 ga. CE straight grip upand gun! The briar patch didn't scratch all that much and my co-buyer was elated to get the 16 CE!! Kevin

I passed on a sweet, honest 28 incher offered to me from a good friend. Shortly thereafter I was crowned: The Village Idiot. :oops: :oops:
On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....
