Re: Winchester Model 21 20 Gauge

I have a prewar model 21 20 gauge that is a two barrel set. 26 and 28 inch. I absolutely love the Model 21 for it's durability and the ability to digest almost any modern load. Mine was originally shipped to the Seattle Hardware Company. I was also lucky enough to come across a Model 21 Duck 12 two ...

Re: Duck Opener in Michigan's U.P.

Jeff; I loved your description of the hunt and really loved the pictures. Traditions with family are priceless. Your family really looks like a great bunch of people. I miss my dad every day and wish that I could hunt one more time with him. He was my rock and also my best friend. Thanks again for t...

Mike;

Congrats on locating that Sterly! Ejector too! That is awesome. The 32 Sterly fraternity is growing.

Re: briley chokes in vintage shotgun

Once saw a model 21 Deluxe Duck with 32 inch pipes VR in 95% plus condition with Briley thin wall tubes installed. The gun ended up selling for about 40% below what retail at the time would have been for that gun. This was in 2011. Very rare configuration in a 21 that was minty condition wise. Gun w...

Re: Cody Factory Letter-Very Nice

Good to hear Craig! I have used Cody before for records for different Model 21's in my collection and they have always been detailed and prompt. Good to see they are following that process with the Fox guns.

thanks

Re: Doves PA 2021

Daryl; They do plant a field on the course for Doves. It was really slow this year compared to years past. I don't know if the Doves have left or not. I could have limited if my shooting abilities were a bit better. It is definitely an interesting coincidence that both of our Sterly's were out on th...

Doves PA 2021

All; Had a great day shooting some Doves in PA at my favorite sporting clay location. Was able to use my Savage Era 20 Gauge Sterly with 32 inch pipes. It was a bit full choked for game of choice but we had a blast!! Missed the close in shots and surprised myself with some of the longer shots. Thank...

Re: Cabela’s Dundee,Michigan

Bass Pro does not place an emphasis on the used gun or gun library type guns like Cabela's did before the buyout. The gun libraries were kept from buying for quite a while and had to seek permission on guns over a certain dollar figure to purchase. This really dried up the market. I have been told t...

Re: Remington

I believe that it is getting harder and harder for gun companies to acquire financing. The stealth way to gun control from the left has been to freeze out financing to any gun related companies. This has been going on for several years now and is another arrow in the quiver of the anti gun crowd. Th...

Re: production numbers for long-legged smallbores

I have had the honor to own 3 - 32 inch 20 gauge fox shotguns. The first was a CE, the second that I acquired was a Utica Sterly, and the third being a Philly Sterly. I sold the CE and the Philly Sterly to friends (wanted to share the love a bit), and currently own the Utica. It shoots and swings li...
