Doves PA 2021

Post by arcmaster »

All;

Had a great day shooting some Doves in PA at my favorite sporting clay location. Was able to use my Savage Era 20 Gauge Sterly with 32 inch pipes. It was a bit full choked for game of choice but we had a blast!! Missed the close in shots and surprised myself with some of the longer shots.
Thanks
Mike

Nice going Mike. It was really a cool coincidence that we were both shooting our 32" 20's albeit in different states. They were virtually reunited. Does Hunting Hills plant a field for them? See my post from last week with our 32" 20 pictured. Great gun, thanks a bunch for letting it go and it did go to a good home. :D

Nice going Mike,

Maybe sometime I can run into a 32" 20, find out for myself the magic they hold.

Thanks for sharing the picture, dove hunting holds many memories here in Pa for me.

Daryl;

They do plant a field on the course for Doves. It was really slow this year compared to years past. I don't know if the Doves have left or not. I could have limited if my shooting abilities were a bit better. It is definitely an interesting coincidence that both of our Sterly's were out on the same day!

Very cool that both of you are shooting 32” 20’s!! Jealous that PA and other sane states have a Do e season. They put a kabosh on MI a number of years ago. Miss shooting doves!

Very nice! I was out Friday evening at a PA game com. Managed dove field and only saw 2 doves.
The fields were barren so I’m not sure why they did not plant sunflowers this year.
