On Foxes ..... sold 4, bought 5. But I sold more of the other makers than I bought. So I'm down about 10% and on my reduction goal for this year. Plan is to reduce by 10% again next year.
I was lucky enough to find 3 new treasures !
An Early 12 ga. Sterlingworth Co. w/hinge pin 26" Imp & Mod
An AE 12 ga 30" Full & Extra Full
A CE 12 ga. 30" Full & Full
Can't seem to bring myself to part with the Fox shotguns
Also bought a great little Iver Johnson Hercules .410 bore SxS fun to shot at the trap club.
and a L.C Smith Long Range (1927) in like new condition.
I also have an early Sterlingworth (Model 1911) hinge pin gun with 26 inch barrels choked IC and Mod, SN is 57979. Curious if your gun is SN'ed close to that.
Blindduck2: You will need good luck to find a 32" C---in the second generation engraving style they made 44 in POW grip and 14 in Straight and 44 in full pistol-----grab one if you find one it may be a long wait until the next 32" C is for sale. If you own one you are very fortunate and many have been played with. But ya never know Santa may be listening!!
You are fortunate not to have a small bore 32" graded or Sterly on your wish list------I know of two total in collector hands. Merry Christmas Craig Larter
I am in reduction mode, but couldn't pass up a crispy "early A" when it walked by my table at the Chantilly, VA show this year. The early A is my favorite Fox, only slightly above the HE in overall character, in my opinion. The seller had quite a variety of neat guns to sell at fair prices, sold about five of them without moving from his spot in front of my table. I only bought the Fox.
