Re: Our web site move scheduled for 9/6/2017

Since the web site change the "automatic log in" feature seems to work intermittently.
Not earth shattering but annoying. Just reporting.

Re: Problems with this site...

I have had continual problems with this sight recently. Most notably, every time I go to the sight I have to re-login even though I have requested to save my ID and password. very frustrating.

Re: set screws

Yes, 5-40 is the correct set screw. I ran a 5-40 screw in the other axle's set screw hole to verify before drilling out and re-tapping the buggered screw and all went well. Was back to shooting the gun a couple of weeks ago.
Have a great day.

set screws

I have a buggered axle set screw that I had to drill out. Does anyone by chance know the thread size?? I am going to use a tap to clean up the threads and replace the set screw. As tight as the axle is I suspect it would stay in place just fine with out the set screw.

Thamks and best regards,

Re: Uh Oh..where does this spring go??

That pin pushes the saftey on when you open the gun. I leave it in the gun when I hunt and remove it when I shoot Trap, Sporting Clays etc. Re locktite - I don't like to use lock tite on any guns- period. My personal preference, for a variety of reasons. All the best with your Fox, it can be addicti...

Re: Uh Oh..where does this spring go??

The spring was probably installed up side down. I do not however think that it would have caused a "hair trigger"... easy enough to test. If installed and causes a light trigger pull, better get it to a competent gunsmith for safety issues.

Re: Uh Oh..where does this spring go??

That sping mounts to the trigger plate to hold the triggers in place with a small amount of tension, so that they just don't flop around in the at rest condition. It is an easy installation. Maybe it is a spare?

Re: Early B grade 28"

Y'all could have the serial # checked in the members forum to see what the chokes were when the gun left the factory. Plus other useful info.
This is a valuable service for Fox members.

Just to let you know I have an A ser. # 129xx which I had lettered and it shipped from the factory April 30, 1909. It also has 30" Krupp barrels and choked mod R and full L . It is indeed a great shooter, I use it mostly on the trap fields. If serial # is any indication your gun would have ship...
