Weight range Sterlingworth 12 gauge

Post by Upland Hunter »

Interested to know the range in the total weight of a Fox Sterlingworth 12 gauge with 28" or 30" barrels. Understand the graded guns range in weight of the total assembled shotgun given the individual barrel weight, length of barrel and stock. Curious to know the weight you measured for a Fox Sterlingworth 12 gauge and wondering if the Savage Sterlingworth 12 gauge guns in the barrel lengths noted differed by much.

Here are some real life weights of many 12 gauge Sterlies I've owned or worked on, all were weighed using a digital postal scale:

Most of the 28" and 30" guns were 7-4 to 7-7
Low weight was a 28" Utica SW extractor gun at 6 - 15.4
High weight was a 30" Utica SW extractor gun at 7 - 9.4
