Grade B No. 5 12 gauge with original tag
Re: Grade B No. 5 12 gauge with original tag
What an iconic gun! Single digit SN, ball grip, early style engraving, and hang tag to boot!! You have definitely made my day!!! Thanks so much for sharing, Kevin.

Thanks for all of the excitement. Responding to ROMAC's question- My grandfather was a country doctor in NJ who loved collecting guns amongst many other things. While it is possible that he was the original owner (my grandmother was from Philadelphia) I imagine he bout the gun sometime in the 40's. I will inquire further with my family to try to get a clearer picture.
I tried to get photos of some of the rest of the gun (I had to look up what some of the terms were, sorry I am new to all of this). I am happy to try to shoot any of it that anyone is interested in seeing, just let me know.
Thanks,
Ian

That safety button is over the top. I've got to have one. Guess I'd better get to work with the files.
Thanks so much for the pics. Great gun

Very similar to Fox #8 B-grade that I "owned" briefly a couple years ago.
Does #5 also sport Krupp "Heavy Weight" barrels?
Makes me wonder how many B-grades were made at the very beginning.
