Gentlemen & Ladies,....Can anybody show me a Pre-1914 AHF' stock, from Side Profile and from the Under-Side. I have to make(By cutting and welding) an Original Long-Tang Trigger guard for a 'Conversion from P/G. to St/Grip.. an 'A' grade or higher would be really helpfull, so that BLH.has some Engr to copy, and I need to position the 2 Screws in the correct 'spot' Any help would be Greatly Appreciated. That lovely FE-Grade is way post 1914. The earliest straight grip I have is my regular bird gun circa 1914 -- http://foxcollectors.com/My%20Forum/php ... .php?t=152

I don't know if this will help, this is a 1914 XE straight grip 12ga. The picture is fussy but I think you can get the idea.
Doug Mann has this gun at the moment and if you need good dementions I imagine he would be willing to help out.
I also have a 1914 CE-12ga straight grip that I would be willing to take pictures of if you need, just let me know.

David, I measured Paul's XE and got the following measurements as measured from the toe of the trigger guard: .885" to the center of the last screw hole, 3.536" from the toe to the center of the first screw hole, distance between the two holes was 2.651". I wouldn't take these measurements as gospel but they are very close. I also took measurements from a take-off stock from another straight grip Fox and got the same numbers within a few thousanths of an inch. Hope this is what you're looking for.FRBRIT wrote:I don't know if this will help, this is a 1914 XE straight grip 12ga. The picture is fussy but I think you can get the idea.
