That lovely FE-Grade is way post 1914. The earliest straight grip I have is my regular bird gun circa 1914 -- http://foxcollectors.com/My%20Forum/php ... .php?t=152

The 1907 "Campfire" catalogue shows the B- and D-grades with straight grips --

I don't know if this will help, this is a 1914 XE straight grip 12ga. The picture is fussy but I think you can get the idea.

Doug Mann has this gun at the moment and if you need good dementions I imagine he would be willing to help out.

I also have a 1914 CE-12ga straight grip that I would be willing to take pictures of if you need, just let me know.

David, I measured Paul's XE and got the following measurements as measured from the toe of the trigger guard: .885" to the center of the last screw hole, 3.536" from the toe to the center of the first screw hole, distance between the two holes was 2.651". I wouldn't take these measurements as gospel but they are very close. I also took measurements from a take-off stock from another straight grip Fox and got the same numbers within a few thousanths of an inch. Hope this is what you're looking for.
