one more question, is it common to see that marking on other 12gauge sw foxes? Just wondering if it adds to the 'value' of the gun? Not planning on selling at all just wanted to know if ive got something more rare to brag about or if ALL silverworths have these markings. thanks Reasearcher,

Its a Sterlingworth circa 1926, so does that mean that the gun was not made in phily pa?

Barrel Marking?
Wondering if anyone knew what marking is that is above the D-3, above the barrel flats. Is it a number or letter or symbol? What does it mean?
Also what does the D and 3 mean?

Stock refinished
Hi, My clear coat has wore off of my stock and was wondering what anyone recomends me to do if anyone has done the same thing in the past. I want to bring back the shine it should have and am trying to do it myself. Any brand recomendations, oils clear coats, or stains?

Thank you for your advise, I bought it from a gun store that checks all their guns out before they sale them, and they guarentee the guns is in fireing condition, but i did go the extra step to check the saftey of the gun and took it to another gun store to have it checked.
