Try Ken Owen in Moscow, TN, He builds and only works on doubles. 901-877-6853, he's a great guy and resonable. Dennis

Re: 1924 Fox ad

I'll go back soon and look for that issue. They are wrapped and sealed so I could not open them and sorta pricey but there were more. Thanks for everyones input.

1924 Fox ad

Someone on Ebay sells a repro 1924 Fox ad that shows a picture of a man with a sxs in field w/2 setters. I just purchased a Sept. 1919 "National Sportsman" with that picture on the cover but no info about it. Any one have any info ,I'd appreciate any and all.

Re: Photo's of Ansley

The leg-o-mutton case beside my man is awesome, looks new and looks like a medallion or somekind of latch I'm not familiar with. Maybe the prize? Its Ansley.....

Re: Photo's of Ansley

No idea but I'm still digging. To me there is a bicycle in the background and since I removed the matte you can see it better. That would be a clue, All appear to be what I call modern guns in that there are no under levers and the guns appear to be in very good condition, I'm saying 1900-06 maybe. ...

Re: Photo's of Ansley

One hammer gun, 3rd from the left, front. I tried taking the picture out of the matte as it was put in a matte that didn't quite fit and had a bubble. The idiot glued it to the backing so I won't be able to get the bubble out but I'm going to take it to a professional and see if it can be somewhat r...

Re: Photo's of Ansley

I apologize for the wait on the pic but I am waiting on my son to forward the picture. The picture is of 20+ men posed with their sxs's except for the one I'm betting is ol Ansley, his is in a case and definitely IMO not a 97 Win. The down side is, without good photos of him to compare, my best gues...

Re: Photo's of Ansley

Those being the Fall '09 issue, I take it. I can't tell much from them. I recently purchased an interesting picture of posed shooters of gunclub. One of them looks very much or at least strongly resembles Mr. Fox. All have sxs's but the man I think is he has his gun in a leg-o-mutton case. At least ...

Stupid question!

On pin guns there is a screw slot in the hinge pin. Is this a screw? One gun has one side slotted another has both sides slotted. Thanks, Dennis
