Found this speedometer from a Fox Air-cooled Automobile at a big car parts meet quite a few years ago - still looking for the rest of the car - haha!
Note it had 17,698 miles on it when parted out.

Re: Miss Ruby
My pup is from a breeding by a friend in Jamestown, ND. His female (my pup’s mother) descends from titled field trial dogs on her mother’s side and her father is “Deets” out of Northstar Pointing Labs in Cottonwood, MN. http://www.northstarpointinglabs.com/ourdogs/gmprdeets.html My pup’s father is “...

Re: Miss Ruby
Here's a couple of photos of Miss Ruby and her first Ruffed Grouse, taken during the start of the 2024 Minnesota grouse season. She is not quite 6 months old and is little hunting machine. She pointed/flushed 4 single grouse that day, and I was fortunate to kill the only one that gave me a shot - th...

Re: 1905 E.H. Godshalk & Co - Giant Marine Engines
The Godshalks were quite the Entrepreneurs, selling a large variety of products over the years.
In 1867, Edward was selling carpets, druggets and oil cloths - see receipt below.

1905 E.H. Godshalk & Co - Giant Marine Engines
Old ads for Giant Marine Motors by EH Godshalk & Co are common on Ebay, but this is the first Catalog (1905 Giant Marine Engines) I have found describing their engines and boats in some detail. Note the 28' x 6' 6" Hunting cabin boat at the bottom. I saw a photo of a boat in this style used...

Re: off topic cigars
Here is a leg of mutton case owned by Louis, which contained DE 17090 and 2 sets of barrels, with the consignor listed as A.H.Fox on the factory card.
So was this Ansley’s gun or was he just ordering it for Louis?

Re: Dr. Robert J Robel
I doubt Doc Robel would have been shy in espousing his views on guns; he was on the NRA board of Directors. When I was working for him, Doc was keeping his guns in a big safe in his office at KSU. His office was in a small building away from the main Biology building, where he had his own research l...
