Re: Sterlingworth Wildfowl #134111
Interesting pic with the two barrel flats. Frank, I'm no gunsmith, but I took a look at the ejectors. Seems like a pretty basic set up, at least out side the action. It appears that the main problem is that someone got carried away with greasing the hook. Gunk under the dog leg sear didn't allow it ...

Re: Sterlingworth Wildfowl #134111
Thanks, Frank. On the negative side I took it out for a few hours yesterday afternoon and got a few shots at passing Canada Geese. I missed, but found the right ejector isn't kicking out the shell. I can hear something in the action kicking, but it isn't engaging the forearm to kick the ejector forw...

Re: Sterlingworth Wildfowl #134111
Thanks for the additional info. I never really thought about how many cards there are until I saw them stacked like that, thousands to the box. Frank, here is a picture of the barrel flats. I see it has that odd 8 looking stamp that is mentioned in some of the other Wildfowl and HE threads. If there...

Re: English Proofs
I have seen a couple of Ansley H. Fox doubles with English proofs and a friend at one time had a nice DE-Grade with French proofs that the last I saw of it it was being offered for sale by Herschel Chadick, so that was some time ago. Tom Kidd did an article on a 20-gauge CE 200316 that went to Engl...

Re: Sterlingworth Wildfowl #134111
Thank you all for the additional info. Silvers, it looks like the volume your article is in is available on the DGJ website as a back issue. I'll order one asap. I'm looking forward to reading it. Researcher, is this the only one with the Chicopee Falls roll stamp that you've seen? I'm a bit surpris...

Sterlingworth Wildfowl #134111
A recent pick up led me to buy a 3 year membership after a years long lapse. I had to change my user name from Northern Bob to NorthernBob and re-register for some reason. The new pick up is a Sterlingworth Waterfowl serial number 134111. It has 32" barrels, ejectors, 3" chambers, perfect ...

Re: Fox Sterlingworth Heavy barrels (HE weight)
Here are a couple of pictures of two Wildfowlers from the different Serial # batches that Dave referred to in the previous post. The first gun is Serial # 35170 and is fitted with HE wood with PG cap and Jostam Pad (as recorded in the letter). The second gun is Serial # 134112 and is a later gun fi...
