What happened to all the informative posts!?!
Hmm…seems that anyone who was pretty excited about sharing info on here has decided to just quit. For anyone that regularly visits this site, you know damn well that there were several individuals including myself who would often provide very useful info, but it was often received poorly or met with...

Re: Greasing Ejector guide pins?
All I wanted to know was whether or not to grease the ejector guide pins. My question has been answered but thank you all for the additional wisdom.

Re: Greasing Ejector guide pins?
Frank, In all honesty I’ve been shooting long enough to have seen the trapping of hulls on many many occasions...I was simply trying to show gratitude for any/all comments on the post and also so I didn’t come off as a know-it-all. When I shoot I’m all business and don’t play any games such as catch...

Re: Utica Sterlingworth 20 —> C-grade custom profiled/rebate
Fellas I know this is unrelated but check out these beautiful custom game calls I recently had made. I found a gentleman who does fantastic work, makes excellent calls, and all for a great price. If anyone would like more info on this call maker please pm me...he is an awesome guy to deal with and b...

Re: Greasing Ejector guide pins?
Fellas I’ll have to practice that “trapping” of the hulls and get back to you, bear in mind I am an ejector newbie. Dave, I agree that the later style top lever has it’s advantages even though it may not be as aesthetically pleasing as the Philly style levers. Thanks again to all who took the time t...

Bill,
Thanks for the kind words my friend it is much appreciated! As far as my style goes...you fellas must be rubbing off on me I’m still in the process of tallying up the rabbit holes too, when I get a total I’ll get back to you provided I do not get lost along the way!

Re: Utica Sterlingworth 20 —> C-grade custom profiled/rebate
Brett, Thanks for the compliments on the project. As far as this gun goes, yes I’m pretty happy with it so far, love that small beavertail forend and the grip profile. If I were to change anything on this gun I would probably have given it a slightly different pitch at the buttplate and also a tad m...

Re: Greasing Ejector guide pins?
Stepped outside this evening and function tested this old girl...flawless. The ejectors threw the empties with authority and they landed in the grass one on top of the other. Everything works as it should now. I’m a very happy boy.

Re: Greasing Ejector guide pins?
Fellas, Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my question, take a look at the pics, and also for the kind words. I’ve always been into extractor guns for their simplicity, but now I see that fox ejector guns are way cool! I will be running the ejectors with no grease, just wiped down with an ...

Greasing Ejector guide pins?
Hey guys, been a while...I picked up a CHEAP but honest 16 gauge ejector sterly a few weeks back. I’ve made all the necessary repairs to the gun including the addition of a late style metal reinforcement bracket obtained via Barden and the replacement of a small chunk of wood that was missing near t...

Re: Safety Question
Some things you can try. Polish the hill and dale detents on the underside of the top tang. I sometimes put a little dab of wax under a sticky safety. Another trick and this probably works best, take a bit off one side of the crescent shaped spring that is pinned under the slide...I have seen factor...
