I'm currently admiring a couple Fox XE's and am wondering
if all guns were case colored or were any factory coin finished.
Did game scenes appear on all of the X's ?
I really like the somewhat deep relief Oak Leaf engraving
but am not a huge fan of all birds and myriad other animals.
Thanks.

Re: New Britain Fox, CE16
Quail and Dove.
The only Pheasant we have around here is "Put and Take" which I don't much care for.
Truth be told, it'll probably spend most of it's life on a Skeet field but I don't mind, it's fairly easy on the eye and a pleasure to shoot.

Way back when, it was all about quantity. Less is the new more. I so admire the New Britain DE 28 that I gave another chunk of my modest cabinet for a pending CE/XE 16 . Two barrel set. Exhibition wood. Twin forends. English stock with skeletal butt. Target weight of 6 pounds. https://i.imgur.com/92...

Stan, you might as well give us the procedure... I'm guessing indirect heat :?: I own a commercial kitchen and every year we do "Feasts" for up to 1000 guests. We use what is called a French breast, actually 2 whole boneless breasts "pressed" together. End result is about an 6 p...

Re: New Britain Fox
I had the pleasure of interacting with Mr. Tuscano during the months he had my gun. He was asked by Tony G. to create a special pattern to be featured in their Fox catalogue. When I asked Lou for that pattern on my XE he corrected me, "You mean your DE". Oh well, if it were meant to be hun...

Re: New Britain Fox
Such a beautiful gun. I enjoyed the entire process especially choosing the features that appealed to me. Chrome lined barrels were a must for hunting in Kalifornia, soon to be Non-Tox and Steel only on public land. I wanted interchangeable forends to suit my fancy. Poor image but I also really like ...
