Lovely gun indeed! How did you get the in process pictures from CSMC? SXS Ohio

A combination of "Squeaky Wheel" and BBQ.
Pork Back Ribs, 10 spice dry rub, brown sugar crust,
freshly smoked 8 hours over Hickory, vacuum sealed and shipped overnight.

Re: New Britain Fox, CE16
My two barrel set just got to Geoffroy Gournet's to get engraved. Same configuration with 28 & 30 inch barrels. Now that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel I've started to give some thought to getting a case for it. I'm curious if you or anybody else has sourced a reasonably priced case for a Fox two barrel set. The rib extension disqualifies a lot of what is out there. I'd like to stay under $1,000 for the right case.

Roger, check out Tony G's case offerings - I've steered several people towards his 2-barrel leather over wood (vs. oak & leather) model(s), which I think are still about $800 plus or minus some optional goodies. They are very well made and I think there is even a 32"/28" version. I have some understandable snob/elitist issues with minor accoutrements (straps come to mind), but I know a guy that can fix that. Check them out. Kevin

Roger here is a couple you may or may not have seen. The oak/leather one could have a Fox label put in to replace the current one. Not sure however if it is for a 12 gauge or a small bore:ROMAC wrote:My two barrel set just got to Geoffroy Gournet's to get engraved. Same configuration with 28 & 30 inch barrels. Re: New Britain Fox, CE16
Thanks Tom,
I did see both of them.
In regards to the CSMC, I took what I read to mean I'd have to order the 32" version to make a 30" barrel with a rib extension fit. Not the end of the world, but it does make it a bigger, heavier case. I already own that version in a two gun case case configuration and like it but it is heavy. I currently have a matched pair of 16 gauge Brownings in that case though so I will need the right case eventually.
The used one from Eurochasse states that it will fit a 30" barrel like a Winchester 21 which has no rib extension so I'd need to confirm if it would fit. That one might be a Huey with felt covered wood dividers which I believe is top of the line.
