Mission Accomplished
As you may know from the Fall NL I have been on a 1 1/2 year mission to restore and hunt with Super Fox 30504 that was a train wreck. Well yesterday I accomplished the last part of my mission by shooting ducks at my duck club. The temperature was 20 degrees so most of our decoys were locked in ice so any pass shots were long. I did make a tall one that put a smile on my face and a high five from my duck partner of 31 years.

Re: Mission Accomplished
Nice going buddy. There is something special about making a long, spectacular shot with your classic Fox as opposed to just knocking them down with a Remington or Berreta autoloader is'nt it?
And truthfully, after your performance in SD this year with your 20 "magic wand", your shot with the heavy artillery is'nt surprising. Give Lucy a scratch for me.

Owning a Fox is not a spectator sport.

Very nice Craig, doing what she was meant to do. Thanks for sharing. Gents, I saw and handed Craig's C/HE about a month ago and he did a great job of restoring her.
P.S. I was water hunting up north with two friends yesterday. That cold front sure moved in quickly and made it tough. 13 degrees where we were at and the guide wasn't able to break the ice in the river backwater where we were supposed to set up. Plenty of honkers that weren't too keen on flying but the puddlers seem to have booked it south. Back home today and it figures, there were about 15 quackers just in front of one of my blinds on a neighbor's lake. No Sunday hunting in PA

Re: Mission Accomplished
Thanks for your kind words. It really is a special gun a special thanks to Brian Dudley for doing a beautiful job relaying the ribs and taking out many dents and doing a beautiful job reblueing the barrels. It is fun to share with all you who are addicted to Fox guns!!
Daryl Lucy missed Parker and Fox this year in SD but next year she is waiting for a scratch.
Frank too bad about your hunt up north, I hope your model 12 duck or 21 duck gets a work out in PA.
The weather here looks promising for a good season on big ducks.

Very nice, Craig. Thanks for posting that.
No migratory big ducks down here yet. Lots of "palate-pleasing" woodies. Season comes in Saturday morning. My time of the year.
