First grouse with my new Fox

Post by terc »

We finally got some nice grouse hunting weather hear in PA. Bella and I moved thirteen grouse in 6 hrs. I only came home with one though.
I'm just getting started with a smart phone, hopefully future photos won't be sideways.

Always exciting to bag the initial grouse with a new Fox. Great looking gun and hunting companion.

Great. That's a really good day. That said, remember the good old days when one could move ten to fifteen birds a day consistently. I fear for whatever reason those days are gone just about anywhere other then the upper Midwest.

PS. Love Bella. That be one fine looking dog. :D

Thanks , Bella is 8 years old. She pointed five birds again today. Sometimes I can't believe how lucky I am to have her.

Thanks for sharing the picture. Is that a "C"?

It is said that every true bird hunter deserves at least one good dog and one good gun in his lifetime . Son, it looks as if you have achieved that goal.

Tell us more about your C grade? Restocked perhaps? Looks very very nice.

Yes it is a restock. The card lists a 3 1/2" drop. Probably the reason for the restock. Everything else checks out. I'll post some pics as soon as can. Now that hunting season is over my wife has me busy catching up on everything that was ignored since September.
