As soon as I saw the thread with the orientation of the pictures all mixed up I had a cartoon like vision of Silver's head exploding. LOL!!!

What’s the temps up there. I saw over the weekend that they had record temps with cooling coming mid-week. Thanks for posting pics and enjoy!!

Thank you Frank I just got back to Virginia from Maine. Weather was crazy some nights down in the very low thirtys ice on ground and covering the truck in the morning climbing to near 80 in the afternoon. We had to work for the birds after a hot and very dry pre season. it was peak foliage color and lots of leaves to shoot through. Lots of wind and I didn't feel safe to take a boat out on Tim Pond. but did well in the Kennebeck. At first I couldn't get any takes and saw fish rising and snapping at dry leaves . I switched to a brown fly and got hooked up a couple of casts later. I Was able to release Two of the biggest brook trout of my life. I was hoping for my first double on Patridge but was happy with the hard earned singles over my old dog. Cell coverage is almost non existent except for s small part of the mountain and is not easy to post from phone. Location is worth the small inconvenience.

I have a friend up there at Tim's Pond as I write this. I believe he starts hunting tomorrow. Has a 10 year old Springer with him. I think this is his second trip up there. We used to hunt together for years, but he moved out of the area a few years ago. Didn't even know he would be up there until he dropped me a note.

Tom Your friend is in for a Treat. Tim Pond is the oldest fish camp in Maine ten miles off a paved road and has a pristine lake fed by Three mountain streams. Only native brook trout and only fly fishing (seasons over) near the Canada border almost
all land is timber land and accessed by logging roads. Its rustic and has very spotty cell service. I broke an arm a few years ago and had to drive 2 hrs to nearest Doctor. to me it is the best place to decompress and look forward to getting up there each year. not too far from the Sugar- Loaf ski resort.
