Yesterday I had the privilege of joining some fine Gentleman for a morning of duck hunting. We had located a field that looked very promising with plenty of ducks so we all agreed that this would be a classic double hunt for all of us.I brought my Sterlingworth 12 ga, Frank brought an Ithaca NID 4E 16 ga, Bill had his Model 21 12 ga and Brian had his beautiful 20 ga Fair on hand.
What a show the birds put on for us with the geese playing hard to get but the Pintails and Mallards more than willing to swing over the decoys from pairs to the hundreds! While it didn't take long to collect our full counts the ducks kept coming in so we happily watched them work the spread for nearly an hour after we'd fired our last shots. What a morning we had!

WOW!! What a great hunt and looks to be beautiful country!! Very nice!! Are the birds flying off big water out to feed in the fields?
