Novel concept to extend LOP on Sterly

Post by vaturkey »

Can't say I've every seen this done before. Not sure whether it will start a trend. 16 gauge Sterly.

PS. Whomever extended the LOP might have also had an interesting take on a beavertail forearm.

Years ago I bought a rare Browning Superposed Pointer Grade factory 2-barrel set. The man who owned it got his wife interested in skeet shooting and had the stock cut down for her to something like 13 1/4". Over time she lost interest and rather than have the gun restocked or an extension added, he put not 2 but 3 vented recoil pads on the gun so he could resume shooting it. It looked like a burglar gun with an accordian attached to it! Kevin

And, someone probably shot a lot of game with it.
Shoot vintage firearms, relax, and have fun.
