Fox wins challenge event

Post by DarylC »

As the title says the boys from Philly bested those worthy LeFever opponents by a score of 103 to 99. I'll be posting more on the event when I get home, but for now I want to thank all those who participated in this wonderful event.

Team Fox.

PS. Shane Hoover shooting for team Fox while Stan Hoover shoots for Team Lefever is quite interesting.

One of the strongest Fox teams I've had. And Stan asked me if I would be upset if he shot for LeFever as they were looking like they might be lacking shooters. Of course not because I want everyone to have fun and Stan and Shane have qualified to shoot on the Fox team in the past on the same squad.

Interesting story. Dick Miter is shooting a gun I used to own, a. 30 inch Fox Sterly 16 gauge. I was having Dan Rossiter do a custom 16 for me and this gun became excess to my needs.

Listed it on Gun Broker starting at 1 cent and Dick bought it. I had bought it from a gunsmith in PA a few years earlier. Anyway Dick bought it and gave it to Dan and it turned into a custom. I supplied the English Stock Blank Dan used on the gun. Dan did everything to it and then Robert Strosin engraved it. Dick has long long arms. LOP like 15.5 inches.

Has pictures of Dicks setters on the floor plate. He shoots it well.
