Sad news Jerry Andrew's LC Smith gunsmith

Post by vaturkey »

See where he is quite ill and is now in Hospice. He was battling cancer a few years ago but seemed to beat it back. He was also a member of the Crandel Creek bluegrass band. Did some quality work for me few years ago on a Fox.

Info came from Harold Pickens who is well known by many of us. They are good friends.

Sorry to hear that. I recently sold him a nice LC Smith .410 and he was a pleasure to do business with long distance.

I had a few dealings with Jerry over the years and once bought two desirable Foxes from him. A nice and honorable man and certainly well known and appreciated by the LC Smith guys. Sorry to hear the news and I do wish him the very best. frank

I just bought a CE from Him about a month ago. Had a wonderful conversation with him about WV and his hobbies. Sorry to hear this and will be thinking/praying for him and his family.

Thanks for putting it here, Tom. Jerry is in a hospice. Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV, less than a mile from my house. Wanted to go see him but was told he is highly sedated. His brother Tom is the one that told me last week. Tom, btw, is an avid Fox collector but doesn't frequent social media.
A sad situation for us SXS aficionados.
