Were all threaded or were any pressed fit? Might be a dumb question.

All the ones with Ivory beads were press fit. I believe the metal beads were both threaded and press fit (could be wrong).

That's my question. How do I know when I am looking at a threaded or press fit. Which models were threaded? Don't want to destroy a sight trying to unscrew it if pressed in, or pulling it out if threaded.

The standard/typical A H Fox metal sight is a tapered-press fit, no threads. Yes, Fox installed alternate metal front sights on special order, but for those hung up on originality any threaded front sight is suspect unless shown on the Record Card. A sight bead tool can be used to check for a threaded shank (rotate). Caution: the standard taper-fit sights are often tough to pull without damaging the sight, rib matting, or worse yet pulling the rib loose at the muzzles. It's best to leave them alone.

Thank you for the information. That is what I was looking for. All of the barrels I have rust blued were done with the sights intact because I knew they did not come out easily; I tried one or more on lower grade guns.
