Craig, I really like the duck on the side. I have had 3 L.C. Sminth shotguns in my past, all 16 gauges. A collector quality field grade hammer gun, a nice trap grade and speciality grade. All have gone down the road.

Nice pics Craig for sure but I have been lucky enough to handle this gun and it is truly a showstopper in person.... deep warm tones in case color, blue & wood finish. Frankly one of my favorite Elsies I've seen.

I saw and handled Craig's Eagle Long Range right after he got it and he was smiling from ear to ear. Sweet gun and a great catch. Straight gripper to boot.

As nice as that Eagle Grade is, I think Walter Snyder showed us the top end of American 12-gauge 3-inch Magnum doubles in the current issue of The Double Gun Journal. From when the $1000 Grade passed through Julias --

Dave I agree that ithaca $1000. Grade is one heck of duck gun.
