20 ga. A Grade
Help me out guys. Who is the "Herschal Chadwick" mentioned in the ad for the 20 ga. A grade listed on GI? I did a google search and nothing famous popped up.

Herschel Chadick, Best Little Gun Shop in Texas.
Gun dealer and sportsman. Apparently quite a gentleman.
I believe he has not been with us for several years.

The boy selling that gun has been dipping to much fire water no matter who owned it!

Re: 20 ga. A Grade
From the February 2016 obituary writeup:
"He graduated from Winnsboro High School and later East Texas State University in Commerce. Stopping his college short to provide for his growing family, he managed his father-in-law’s Purina Feed Store in Winnsboro. After returning to get his degree, he was in sales for Texas Power and Light in Tyler, then transferring to Terrell in 1970 to head their sales department. In 1976 he opened his own business, Chadick’s Ltd. purveyor of fine firearms all over the country. Clients included 2 presidents, congressmen and many celebrities, including the Von Trapp family of “Sound of Music” fame and he was given the privilege by the Hermitage in Russia to sell Czar Nichola’s personal Parker. God blessed Herschel and Bette with many wonderful adventures. He will be inducted in April in North Carolina into Parker Gun Foundation’s Hall of Fame, as the authority on the Parker Shotgun."
So far as being given the 'privelege' of selling Czar Nichola's (sic) personal Parker by the Hermitage in Russia (???), we all know where that gun went, but I've always been intrigued that the reference to the Von Trapp family may indeed involve the long-sought "fourth Parker Invincible", possibly ordered for driven Auerhahn shooting high in the Swiss alpine forests. Just saying......

Thanks Kevin. That is pretty interesting and he must have been "quite a guy". Jeff

Re: 20 ga. A Grade
Lewis Drake told me the 16-gauge Fox-Sterlingworth Deluxe Ejector Field I was buying came from Hank Jr. Does that make it worth anymore?

Ah, poor ol' Hank Jr. He's spent his career saying he wanted to "make it" on his own merits, all the while mentioning daddy in almost every song.
