Recoil pad questions

Post by Fin2Feather »

Were the vintage Jostam Hy-Gun pads always red? I have a red one with 7 long vents and two round holes through the pad, and a brown one without the two holes. The red pad has three pat. dates shown, the brown only two. Also, has is anyone familiar with a pad marked Horse Shoe Brand - St. Louis? Thanks...

There were both red and brown colored Hy-Gun pads. To my knowledge I don't recall any w/o holes or slots but may be wrong

Believe the brown one is a Reproduction Pad made by Buddy Schoellkiph/Black Sheep. I have one in the factory box. Is listed as a "Hy-Gun Recoil Pad" Another Fine Buddy Schoellkopf Product.
