OT----Springtime wanderings......

Post by TOOL MAN »

Ahhhhhh, springtime in New England. Awoke to several thunderous gobbles off the back-40, early this AM. Just back from a scouting mission to one of my favorite little trout streams--- the surface awash with activity from the spotted predators below. Was greeted by the snorts from two, fleeting whitetails and later serenaded by the percussion mastery, exerted by a love-sick grouse. And they say......"April is the cruelest month...." ???? Not today, my friends.

Tomorrow is opening day, here in the Nutmeg State and with this week long stretch of stellar weather, it should be the best in many, many years. Time to go rig-up the ol' 5-weight.

Now....... if we only had a FOX team suiting-up for The Southern??? All in good time comrades....all in good time....... TOOLMAN
On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....

Tool, thanks for your report. I had some similar musings last weekend while out at the cabin. Saturday evening was "sterling" as one of my friends says, 65 degrees when I pulled in. A bourbon & water helped with the mood while sitting on the porch. Lots of memories up in those hills. One of the highlights was a serenade by coyotes. Sunday morning was 31 degrees, fog and light snow but I did hear some drumming music. I agree it would be nice to see a Fox team or two at the major events. Let's see what we can do for the Vintagers. Frank

The Vintagers in Sept sounds good - think we can get a group together?
