Total Production of Sterlingworth Wildfowl Guns
Do we have a general idea of the total production of Strlingworth Wilfowl guns? I know that Silvers had a post that states "35" but I thought I read that total production was higher than that. I went back through my notes and couldn't find the reference. Thanx!

Re: Total Production of Sterlingworth Wildfowl Guns
In that many of them that have cards show them shipping in 1945, they stand the best chance of remaining minty!! The ones I've recorded are in two serial number blocks, 1341xx and the very last five of the graded gun serial numbers 3528x. I've recorded nine guns from 134102 to 134130. According to Frank Srebro's article in The Double Gun Journal, Volume Twenty-Six, Issue 4, there are cards that go up to 134142, but with a lot of gaps. John found an earlier an earlier group of Fox-Sterlingworth Wildfowl cards 132383, 132384, 132385, 132386 and 132390, when doing a search for Frank. So far no guns from this group have come to my attention. Of the nine guns I've actually seen and recorded in the 1341xx range -- 134102, 134103, 134106, 134116, 134119, 134122, 134126, 134127 and 134130 -- only two are in the fourteen cards John found in that range as recorded in Frank's article.

Thanks Dave for the summary info from the Double Gun Journal article. I had commissioned John Callahan to do a study of Wildfowl advertising and record cards. As part of that study John concurred with Roe Clark's earlier estimate that only about (35) Sterlingworth Wildfowl guns were ever made.
For readers who don't take the DGJ, the Wildfowl was the HE Grade Super-Fox dressed down to Sterlingworth finish, and intended for the market early in the Great Depression.
