ejectors

Post by terc »

Hi, I need some advice.
I am looking at a Fox C grade shotgun. I really like the gun but it has a problem. The left ejector has a sloppy fit. Every so often it will kick past the shell instead of ejecting it. The ejector is numbered to the gun. I can see the ejector guide was replaced. The hole that the guide goes into is slightly oblong causing a loose fit. Can a slightly thicker guide pin be installed ? The right side could you a little tightening also. Who is the recommended smith to do the work ? Thanks, Dave

Dewey Vicknair or Dan Rossiter can fix the issue for sure. Dan's website is "CustomStocksandsteel.com Dewey's is: Vicknairrestorations.com

What fix is required will depend on what their very experienced eyes determine after looking at the issue first hand.
