Day before the Spring Southern

Just wondering if you guys were doing the day before get together before the Spring Southern again this year. I need to make my hotel reservations and I had such a great time last year, except for the dent in my door, that I wanted to do it again this year. Let me know and thanks guys!! Jim

Quite a few of us are planning to shoot at Drake Landing all day Thurs., most of Fri. and Sat. Drake is about 1/2 hour from Deep River. Many of us stay in Fuqua Varina which is convenient to both clubs. Hope to see you there.

Hey Jim, I am planning to get in Wed eve and shoot all day at Drakes. That was a great time shooting with you last year.
As I recall you had a Lefever project gun you were working on, did you finish it?
Somer miscreant put a door dent in his nice new F150 last year--may their gun be plagued with misfires!

That's fantastic news, that was a spectacular course for sure!! I look forward to shooting there again with you guys this year, time to make hotel reservations!!

Harold, I have not finished that Lefever yet no. I've been pretty covered up and I hit a bump in that road on that project I haven't figured out to overcome yet. I have been thinking about it though lately, maybe I can have it ready by then. I did however restock and finish putting together a different Lefever project gun I had so I can shoot with the 20ga crowd!! I'm sure that one will make the trip with me.

So far I am rolling South with David D for the Spring Southern. So far. Never know if that will change by April. If so, we will be at Drake's on Wednesday. Hopefully Frank would be able to join in the fun too. "Fox Universe" will REPRESENT!!!
