Gentlemen: I have a 1909 CE 12 that I am evaluating the viability of total restoration . I understand from the McIntosh book (page 88) and some research on this site that the first generation ejectors (pre 1911-12) are problematic. My restorer has worked on them in the past and ultimately I will heavily weigh his advice but I am wondering what other people's success rate has been at having them work reliably? Is worst case that I just have some fancy extractors or do they cause other issues. Are there specific modifications that have improved them? Can you retrofit from first generation to the improved post 1912 (Russell)?
Thanks for any experiences and advice.

Re: First generation ejectors Strategy
Russell I have seen a few people advertising for parts for the first style ejectors. They are scarce as hen's teeth. Good luck. Bobby
