Sterlingworth forend question

Post by Mother ducker »

Have a few hundred shells run through my new to me fox sterlingworth.feels like it's breaking in. I noticed cleaning it my forend has a slight wiggle while installed. Side to side and up and down.wondering if this is normal or I should have checked out. It wiggles enough to see movement between the forend iron and receiver. The spring is very strong while installing and disassembling the forend just feels like it hits a dead spot tension wise when it finally seats. Thanks

No I was told a poor fit from factory , this is a very early Utica gun. Not sure but I think to much metal was removed from fore end iron in fitting.
