Hi,
I am a newbie to this forum so I hope I am in the correct spot. I am looking for any information I can get on my fathers 12 GA Sterlingworth Fox shotgun. The S/N is 78533. Do you have any history on this as to date of maunfacturing etc? I have been told it is a Standard.
Thank you,
C.P. Maloney

Re: S/N 78553
The date of 1917 is from a serial number chronology put together and published by Lightner Library back in 1976. It is available for free various places on the internet --

and is in my opinion worth what you pay for it.
The only way to really get information on how and when the gun left the A.H. Fox Gun Co. is to get a letter on the gun from the Savage historian --

The term "STANDARD" in the Sterlingworth lexicon means a gun with 30-inch barrels --
