12 Gauge AE #33074
12 Gauge AE #33074
Wanted to post pictures of my first 12 gauge Fox AE w/30" barrels purchased this week. Luckily the fellow that owned it for the last 80+ years was a pack rat like me and kept the box and original packaging. I do not own many 12 gauge guns but could not pass on this one, thanks for the opportunity to purchase it Kenny.

That's a sweetie, and a nice example for those folks who like to pick on those awful Utica guns .

GORGEOUS! That's what we LOVE to see!! Benchmark condition guns to measure all others by. What a find! Congrats.
On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....

Great find.
Agree with you - don't own any Fox 12s but wouldn't be able to stop staring at this one.

Re: 12 Gauge AE #33074
The shape and checkering pattern of that forearm wood in pure Utica. My guess is that this gun was made in and marked as a Philadelphia gun. The only thing Utica about that gun is the box. My 33,801 AE is Philadelphia marked as well.
Congratulations on a great example!! That is a very striking piece of wood for an AE-Grade!! Was the Hang-Tag included in the box?

WPG,
Congrats on a super example! I don't recall seeing a box with that exact label previously..... weight, stock length & drop. Good work!

Wow! What a nice gun. Not the rarest of configurations, by any means, but the condition is just screaming. That gun looks as if it was hardly ever used, or handled. Maybe never even saw sunlight a lot. That is a beauty, thanks so much for posting the pictures. Aren't you glad you didn't pass that one up?

I'm jealous, but happy for you and your great find! Great photos, they remind me of Bill " Pop " Headrick's pics. Actually I like the AE grade over a lot of the higher grades, it's not too busy with the engraving. I'm shoot a 12 and a 16 Philly Sterly, I remember my first pull of the trigger! You just can't beat a Fox!!!!
