Early Fox at the Fall Southern

Post by Mills »

I saw this gun and thought some others here might like to see it. I have no connection to this gun at all other than admiring it.

Looks like an unmolested, original, A Grade Philadelphia Arms Company gun. Did you get a serial number or any other information on this gun?

Did not get a serial number. Price was $1400 or so.

I believe that is serial number 1457 which first came to my attention in the July 2011 RIA Auction. Barrels about 27 3/4 inches, but still have some choke.

I did not examine it too closely, but here is another picture. It is the second up from the bottom. I thought the wood and metal were in great shape considering the age. Cut barrels would be an issue.
