Sterlingworth Forearm
Sterlingworth Forearm
Would like to know if forearm on my Sterlingworth is original.I have not come across one like so i'am thinking it isn't.Any help would be appreciated.

I vote with Tom; the shape is similar to the later Savage-era forearms, but appears to be a little wider than those I've see. Also I've never seen that checkering pattern.

I don't think so, but I like it. Whoever did it did a nice job. I think they call this style a beavertail.

When I went looking, I find that there may have been some skeet guns built with the beavertail forearm. I think you may have something special.

These are examples of the proper forend chechering pattern found on Savage era Skeet guns. Top is a Sterlingworth with snap on forend, bottom is an AE grade.
