Membership?

Post by jillandsam303 »

I sent my $30 in last month in order to obtain membership to get a factory letter on my Fox. I have heard nothing from Fox Collectors and don't know who to contact. Is there a telephone or email I can contact? Sam Hershfield 828-595-9053

Can't anyone help me? All I need is how to contact Fox Collectors so I can receive my membership and order a authenticity letter.

Sam,

I'll contact one of the other board members handling new memberships, to check on this. Please keep in mind, you will receive one FREE factory production card look-up, not an authorized factory letter. Those are only available from Fox/Savage historian, John Callahan. One of us will be back to you ASAP. Thanks for your patience.----SC
On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....

Sam Sorry for the delay, I have your application. I've been tied up here a little and running behind. I will be putting together several membership kits and get them out this weekend. Paul Plunkett III

Got my membership kit. Thanks! Got a poor xerox of the lookup card. Unreadable. Any way I can get a cleaner one sent? Sam

Sam welcome I will email you a copy . The Cards in some groups are in very poor condition, add to that the scans the AHFCA has are actually copies of the original xerox copies. I will note that Savage Arms Historian John Callahan when doing official factory letters on special guns will sometimes include a color copy of the original work card. I do not believe he does this on all look-ups but you may be able to request a card copy. The information for obtaining an official Factory letter can be found on this website.

Write to John T. Callahan
Arms Historian
P.O. Box 82
Southampton, MA 01073
Provide the serial number, gauge, and grade and enclose a check for $30 for Sterlingworths and $40 for graded guns. You will receive a letter in 4-8 weeks.
