Is Kautsky trigger interchangeable from gauge to gauge

I have located a Kautsky single trigger from a twelve gauge gun. Would this trigger function in a 16 gauge Fox? What modifications would be required? Brief explanation.

I really doubt it can be easily adapted. Also the trigger sears are smaller on a 16 gauge as compared with a 12, and the sears for a Kautzky have specially shaped "tails". Thus the existing 16 gauge double-trigger sears will not work even if you get the basic mechanism to fit on the 16 trigger plate. Silvers
