a grade safety

I recently purchased a 1920 A grade in overall 90 plus condition. I noticed that when I pushed the safety to the fire position the back trigger moved slightly to the rear. I did not feel any resistence when pushing the safety at all. My gunsmith cleaned the trigger group and noted everything appeared in almost new condtion and did not think there was a problem. I was wondering if anyone else has ran across this issue. Thanks mark

The safety piece,i call it block that extends down and sits on trigger blades and prevents trigger from being pulled when on safe is probably what is making trigger move when you push safety off. I have noticed it on my Foxes. Bobby

I've seen this on my Model 21s with twin triggers as well. Engaging the safety pushes the triggers slightly down/forward as they are blocked from touching the sear extensions and they settle back against them when the safety is released.

Went turkey hunting this AM and took my 30 inch 20 gauge sterlingworth and the triggers moved when i pushed safety off.No,i did not hear or see a gobbler! Went last Thursday and about daylight i saw a big diamond back laying in road where i was hunting! I had no snake leggons,do not wear them but i pussy footed through the dark woods trying to get near a gobbler i heard. Bobby
