> For those members who knew Russ Bickel, Jr, I received this today from the Pennsylvania Flyers Association. Russ participated in several of our Bo Whoop Long Range shoots at the NE Side by Side, and he was always friendly and courteous, a real gentleman. In addition to the PFA summary, I'd like to add that Russ was a very skilled Foxsmith and I learned much from him. No doubt by now he's talked with the likes of Becker, Kautzky and Fox. Rest in Peace, Mr. Bickel.

We are very saddened to have to inform our members of the early passing of our very good friend, Russell Bickel. He passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012, in the afternoon, as a result of complications from surgery two weeks prior. Russ, always a gentleman, loved wingshooting and bird hunting. He cherished his four well trained cocker spaniels and rarely traveled anywhere without them. Russ also donated lots of valuable time to PAFA, he was a life member, served on the board of directors for several terms and currently was just nominated to his second term as secretary. All of us here will miss Russ.
