Early Style ejector problems

Post by JakeFlyFish »

Howdy all. I bought an early A grade with ejectors, 11,XXX serial number. I've not dealt much with the early ejectors. The little activators sticking out of the frame are round instead of being smallish slots as on the later guns. The ejectors work all the timed whether the gun is fired or not, makes no difference. I've installed ejectors and single triggers on L.C. Smith guns many times so I'm familiar with gun work. This Fox gun however has the little " tits" sticking in the out position when the gun is cocked and when fired, they retract. This seems backwards to me. Would someone with early style ejectors be kind enough to send me photos of their frame in the cocked, uncocked position as well as the face of the forend that engages the frame where the sears for the ejectors are? Thanks to any who might help, Respectfully, Jerry Jskve@aol.com
