I'm selling my Savage A Grade 16 gauge at this show, among other items. It is restocked in rather plain walnut, Jostam pad with a thirties looking trap style beavertail, quite slim in profile. It is a nice light 28" gun bored about modified in both barrels. This is a big show, advertised at 1000 tables, in reality a bit less, and plenty of camo and ammo, but also some great double guns. Come on over and take a look. Open to the public Friday at 3:00 PM and Saturday at 9:00 AM.
Eightbore, where is your table? I'll be there around 11:00 Saturday with a trunkful of Winchester lever guns and a lonely Red Label that I hope to unload for a friend of mine>
Our little enclave is almost straight back from the snack bar-restroom area, only a third of the way into the building. Enter the building, turn right, go toward the rear of the building when you pass the snack bar. We are in the third aisle from the right wall. The real guns are in the front third of the building, mostly to the right side of the entrance. Of course, the "buy of the century" is where you find it.
Bill - Nice to meet you this afternoon at the show. I did see your A grade and it was pretty nice. I left before I could do any damage to my bank account... one of these days I find that DHE that's got my name on it..
I agree with jmc--- your "A" was indeed a nice gun.
You were busy with the others in your booth, so I didn't get a chance to introduce myself Saturday.
Too bad one of your friends was firm on the price of the 3E Elsie---I need a 3E for my collection of pre-'13 Smiths-----
I actually used to own the 3E. It is a nice gun but should be a bit negotiable in price because of some minor issues. The engraving and color on the sideplates is very nice. Sorry you didn't get it.
