U.S. Government Markings

Post by Researcher »

There is a thread over on Shotgunworld.com discussing an Ithaca NID with military markings -- http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtop ... 5&t=262931

Over the years I've seen quite a few Ithaca build Lefever Nitro Specials, Field Grade L.C. Smiths, and all manner of pumps and autoloaders so marked. Anyone have an Ansley H. Fox double that saw government service?

Not I. As I think about it, that's interesting because Savage was so very heavily involved with military production during WWII. hhhmmmmm no Foxes?? I have seen Savage auto shotguns with military markings as I'm sure you have.
