I'm gonna be picking up my first bird dog at the end of June and I'm researching tick protection for him. I figure that there many board members that have bird dogs and I would like to hear what you guys use to protect your hunting buddy. Any thoughts or advice on products would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Frontline Plus or Advantix both work very well as long as you remember to apply them on a regular basis. Make sure you also start him on heartworm meds. Your Vet can advise. Good luck with the pup.
