Can a 12g Sterlingworth barrel be readily fitted to a 12g A Grade gun?

Short answer: assuming the critical dimensions work out, a Sterlingworth barrel can be made to work on a graded frame by an expert.... but it will take some effort and even then the forend fastening system is different - so you'll end up with a hybrid... neither fish nor fowl.

Without "fitting" by an accomplished gunsmith, the chance of another Fox barrel interchanging readily and PROPERLY on a different frame of the same gauge, is very, very close to zero. "Fitting" involves a lot more than having the barrels held down by the bolt, and the lever being centered or right of center. Very intricate work, best left to an expert. Silvers

Thanks for the prompt, albeit discouraging, reply. I hope that I can locate an A Grade barrel set. I have several lines in the water but no hits yet.
