Need help idenifing and determining value

Post by 208okrick »

I need help identifing and determining the value of a gun. I am having a hard time because I can not find the model I have in any book. This is what I have(as stamped on the gun): Fox Savage Arms Corporation Chicopee Falls, Mass. USA Model P Proof tested .410 bore 3 inch chamber. It is a double barrel .410 shot gun with dual triggers. It has "FOX" scroll engraving on the right and left side of the reciever. It also as "birds in flight" engraving on the bottom of the receiver. The barrels are 26 inches. The first thing you are going to question me on is the model P. It is not a model B. The stamp is very clear and it is a model P. Thank you for your input and opinion.

Often you will see stamping on a gun that was not done perfectly, causing the bottom or top of the letters to be incomplete. A "B" that was not properly stamped could easily end up being a "P". Much higher grade guns than yours have been poorly stamped.
